Am I at risk of killing myself? Is he/she at risk of killing him/herself?

When someone thinks or fantasises about suicide, they may be going through a crisis (illness, affective loss, stressful life event, etc.), or be depressed or distressed.

Here we present two questionnaires that look at the intensity of the impulse to harm oneself or to put one's life at risk.

These questionnaires are intended only to explore feelings; not to provide a diagnosis. They may be useful if you want to consult a medical or mental health professional.

Test 1 : Have you ever thought of taking your life?

Test 2 : Why shouldn't I commit suicide?
